Elberadweg
Elberadweg is a famous long-distance cycling route that follows the Elbe River through Czechia and Germany. It stretches for about 1.300 km, from the river's source in the Krkonoše (Riesengebirge) in the North of Czech Republic to its mouth at the North Sea in Cuxhaven, Germany. The cyckling route is famous for its scenic Beauty: Passes through stunning landscapes, including national parks, vineyards, and historical towns.
The route includes cities like Prague (near the route), Dresden, Wittenberg, and Hamburg. The paths are flat and well-maintainedand are ideal for cyclists of all levels. It’s one of Europe’s most popular cycling routes and is part of the EuroVelo network. On the postcard the route is following the stream of the Elbe (Czech: Labe) from Děčín in Czech Republic, crossing the border into Germany and Nationalpark Sächsische Schweiz, to the cultural city of Dresden , through the porcelain town of Meissen and further on to Riesa. The trains Berlin - Dresden - Prague are running parallel with the cycling path on the postcard.
