Gerda Elfring, the Netherlands, artist. Quote from her website: "When Gerda Elfring ([born in ] Haaften, 1956) went to the Art Academy more than 35 years ago, she could not have imagined that she would grow into a renowned artist with her own gallery. In 2002, she opened her first gallery in the Art Town of Wijk bij Duurstede. Thirteen years later, she opened a second gallery in the famous artist village of Bergen, before finally returning to Zaltbommel in her beloved river country on the Waal in 2018. Her versatile paintings can be seen in the Elfring-art gallery on Gamerschestraat in Zaltbommel, alongside spatial work by changing exhibitors. After more than 22 years, she has decided to close her gallery in Zaltbommel as of January 1st [2024]."
