Exhibition in Centre George Pompidou 1978-1979 and in Charlottenborg, Copenhagen 1982 with the Danish title "Stationer". About the exhibition (quoted from the web-site of Centre George Pompidou): This exhibition is dedicated to the history, current events and future of the railway station in the world. The railway station is a modern-day Tower of Babel. It is the foundations and multiple levels, old and recent, real and imaginary, of this tower, both in ruins and under construction, familiar and unknown, that will be explored. The exhibition focuses on a dozen visions that reveal how relevant signs of architecture and urban planning, technology and decorum, art and popular culture, politics and strategy, order and discipline, poetics and imagination crystallize in this public place. These complementarities give rise to a new perspective on railway stations and, through this, on our daily environment.
