Compagnie du chemin de fer du Médoc


The Compagnie du chemin de fer du Médoc is a former French railway company. It notably built and operated the Médoc line, it was taken over in 1911 by the Compagnie des chemins de fer du Midi et du Canal latéral à la Garonne. The Compagnie du chemin de fer du Médoc was created in 1863 to take over the concession from 1863 of the Bordeaux to Verdon railway. In 1864 the company was authorized and its statutes approved by imperial decree. The Bordeaux Saint Louis to Verdon line, (99.8 km), opened 1868-1875.
