The Comité National de l'Enfance

The Comité National de l'Enfance (National Committee for Children) in France, founded 1902, was a prominent organization dedicated to promoting and safeguarding the rights, well-being, and interests of children. In the 1950s  (where the postcard is from) the organization was focusing on the post-war reconstruction of child welfare systems and addressing the pressing needs of children in a recovering society. This period was marked by efforts to ensure better health, education, and living conditions for children in the aftermath of World War II, which had left many families impoverished and vulnerable.
