Emmerich Huber

Emmerich Huber (1903-1979) was a German comic artist, illustrator and advertising artist. He was one of the main artists of Die Blauband Woche, a magazine published by Rama, the German margerine brand. From 1925 to 1933, Huber drew popular series, such as 'Das Neueste von Onkel Jup' and 'Hans und Lottchen'. In the 1930s, he also worked for Ulf, doing parodies on among others Hitler. Emmerich Huber also created the illustrated book 'Optimist Sein' in 1933. After World War II, he produced more books, such as 'Meine Lustige Fibel' (1954), 'Die Himmelswerkstatt' und 'Bei Tüddelwitt im Zwergenwald' (1958). He was the caricaturist for the weekly magazine Revue, starting in 1952. He was also present on the magazine's back page with comics like 'Bilderbogen von Emmerich Huber' and 'Familie Kindermann'.
