Robert Kämmerer
Robert Kämmerer (1870–1950), German painter. Born in Lippstadt, Germany, he was primarily self-taught in the arts. In 1897, Kämmerer relocated from Wahlershausen, a village near Kassel, to Berlin with his family, aiming to improve his artistic prospects. In Berlin, he gained recognition by creating copies of works by renowned French Impressionists for affluent clients. This success allowed his family to move to a more spacious apartment with a studio in the artist-friendly district of Zehlendorf. Kämmerer's oeuvre includes landscapes from regions such as the Chiemsee area, the Spreewald, and the Alps. Throughout his career, Kämmerer participated in several exhibitions, including Große Berliner Kunstausstellung (the Great Berlin Art Exhibitions) of 1916, 1919, and 1920. His works have been featured in various auctions, reflecting their continued appreciation.
