Korshage
Korshage is a headland on the northeastern corner of the Rørvig peninsula at the mouth of the Isefjorden in the Kattegat at the North of Sealand, Denmark. Korshage is located in a Natura 2000 area and part of the nature reserve Korshage and Højsandet near Rørvig. Coastal protection measures are visible along the north coast. Cattle grazing helps to keep the vegetation in its original state. Korshage is a popular place for observing bird migration. A nearby train connection is in Hundested. A ferry crossing is located in Rørvig 4 km. South of Korshage. The Hundested-Rørvig ferry connection is one of the shortest ferry crossings in Denmark. It crosses the strait at the mouth of the Isefjorden, and sails between Hundested on Halsnæs west of Frederiksværk and Rørvig in Odsherred. The shipping company was founded in 1917 and has operated the crossing since then. In Hundested Harbour, Hundested Harbour Station has been built by the ferry, with connections to Frederiksværk and Hillerød. The Hundested-Rørvig ferry has never been a railway ferry. Rørvig is only served by buses.
