Soestdijkerstraatweg station

 

Soestdijkerstraatweg station (today Hilversum Sportpark Station) is the southernmost railway station in Hilversum, located on the Hilversum - Utrecht railway line. The station was opened in 1874 with the name Hilversum-Amersfoortsche Straatweg station. In 1919 the name was changed to Hilversum-Soestdijkerstraatweg and in 1965 the the name was changed to Hilversum Sportpark Station .It is a simple stop with a small building that is used as a bicycle shop. The ticket office has been converted into a Turkish snack kiosk. The´station's actual name is named after the nearby sports park.
