Thomas and Friends
Thomas & Friends is a British children's television series that aired for 24 series and 584 episodes from 1984 to 2021. Based on The Railway Series books by railway enthusiast and children's author Wilbert Awdry (1911-1997), the series was developed for television by writer and producer Britt Allcroft (1943- ). The series follows the adventures of Thomas, an anthropomorphised blue steam locomotive on the fictional North Western Railway on the Island of Sodor with his friends.
